The Checkmate suite offers
the most extensive track reporting of any GPS tracking system
on the market today. Other systems offer track and location
updates based on time intervals. Instead of choosing a system
based on 15, 5 or 2 minute reporting, employing the Checkmate
GPS tracking system gives you an unmatched flexibility in
reporting with crystal clear route history at your fingertips.
Using the smart algorithm allows the fleet
owner to choose his or her own parameters for reporting. Tracks
are recorded in increased frequency during turns as well as
during acceleration and harsh braking. During freeway travel
the unit records less track data if the vehicle stays at a
constant speed and heading, but any heading or speed changes
will be logged for reports. All track recording capability
is user configurable.
The advantage of this type of recording comes when viewing
your fleet's data. Reports and routes are much easier to read
than those provided by any of the competing systems. Fleet
owners can view a trail as the vehicle curves around an off
ramp while exiting the freeway and see every road a vehicle
has turned onto throughout the day. Any other system that
uses a simple timed reporting feature will miss turns and
leave holes in the route taken making it difficult for a dispatcher
to verify the route taken.
Another great advantage of the smart algorithm is greater
accuracy in mileage reporting. Checkmate's records
mileage to within a +/- of less than 1% of the actual vehicle
mileage. Couple this with Checkmates's maintenance reporting and
a fleet owner can be sure that oil changes, tire changes or
lease expirations will be reported accurately. Also our miles
by state reporting for fuel tax reasons will be within 1%
of actual mileage. A competing system that only records a
location every 5 minutes will have a mileage variance of up
to -15%. So for every 100 miles driven, Checkmates will record
about 100 miles compared to the 85 miles of our competition.
